One sec I'm fixing it Bawitdaba (talk) 21:43, July 11, 2022 (UTC)

Okay, it should be fixed now. Keep in mind that DK Island uses location infobox on the MarioWiki. It's not the reason why we do the same around here (despite similar formats), but worlds are often contained within a location, and then there are locations within a world. And locations within locations are areas. Confusing, I know :P Bawitdaba (talk) 21:46, July 11, 2022 (UTC)
Oh yeah also, I think you said you once said that didn't like the explicit content on Mariowiki. There's a collapsible template on Mariopedia for inappropriate content, if this helps. Bawitdaba (talk) 21:48, July 11, 2022 (UTC)

I was not planning on us using tabber for this wiki. In cases where I do allow for it, it's in select instances, mainly for RPG games, which feature a ridiculous amount of stats that need to be sorted. Same goes for collapsible list. Bawitdaba (talk) 23:45, July 12, 2022 (UTC)

Kruncha article[edit]

Just letting you know that I split Kruncha into its own article (seeing as it's different enough to warrant one) & deleted some inline references that are already in the profiles section. It's not drawing away from the fact that Krunchas are Krushas, but aliases tend to have their own identity (like how Fire Mario is a form of Mario), and the separation of the articles acknowledge it as such. Bawitdaba (talk) 23:13, July 13, 2022 (UTC)

It doesn't work yet, as I will need to manually file a request for miraheze to add your wiki to interwiki Bawitdaba (talk) 21:15, July 14, 2022 (UTC)

Okay hopefully it goes through Bawitdaba (talk) 22:28, July 14, 2022 (UTC)

Re: JPG to PNG[edit]

You're not allowed to convert JPG to PNG, as that only bloats the file size and doesn't improve the quality Bawitdaba (talk) 01:04, July 19, 2022 (UTC)

re: DKC Trilogy media[edit]

not that i recall, sorry Bawitdaba (talk) 11:56, July 21, 2022 (UTC)

Splitting Kongo Jungle[edit]

I hope you don't mind, but I've been undergoing an effort to split Kongo Jungle into separate articles. I'm not one for merging articles into a single page, but I have made sure to keep your ideas intact. As for Jungle DKCR, I do believe it's the same as Kongo Jungle, but putting into separate article is essentially like me saying it a different incarnation of it, so to speak.

Also was going to mentioned that the series does not have a maintained canon throughout the Donkey Kong titles (though the first three DKC titles & I think DKL1 all fit together as a story and their own "sub-canon"), especially from when changing developers (Paon, Retro Studios). DKCR and DKC:TF appear to be within their own sub-canon as well, but Returns serves as a reboot of the series, with a different developer than Rare, so DK Island has been reimagined for it. Bawitdaba (talk) 16:01, July 29, 2022 (UTC)

@Bawitdaba: I have an idea, if I write about the places on Kong Island and you want to separate it, base it on what I wrote and take what I put. Just missed Jungle Japes, Jungle World and Jungle for you to do. ChristopherPAraujo (talk) 15:53, July 29, 2022 (UTC)
That's what I'm trying to do. I relocated some of your stuff into the sandbox, so that's why those are still red links at the moment. Bawitdaba (talk) 18:55, July 29, 2022 (UTC)
Okay, so I've done the split. Is all well with how I handled it? Bawitdaba (talk) 16:18, July 30, 2022 (UTC)
I noticed now. Can you splitting the other map such as Gorilla Glacier? Windiez (talk) 17:38, November 21, 2022 (UTC)
@Windiez: I and Bawitdaba made a deal. If I write about the places on Kong Island and he want to separate it, he will base it on what I wrote and take what I put to avoid plagiarism. ChristopherPAraujo (talk) 14:44, November 21, 2022
"plagiarism" (note the quotes) is allowed if it's license-compatible, but yes I do appreciate the ground-up approach. I was about to say that you're allowed to make articles as see fit, but are not allowed to re-merge once they have been split. Bawitdaba (talk) 18:41, November 21, 2022 (UTC)
@Bawitdaba: I forgot to put my name in talk and you thought it was the Windiez. ChristopherPAraujo (talk) 16:04, November 21, 2022

Hi, I've had to delete the Prima guide for DK64. While I am definitely glad that you were keen to preserve it, it essentially constitutes as a copyright violation, and Prima has done DMCA takedown notices of their guides in other places in the past. However, I will allow you to add PDFs of game instruction manuals, especially as several of them have been made readily available online officially by Nintendo. Kremling species[edit]

In the DKC fake credits, Kremlings are listed in five; K. Rool, Kritter, Klaptrap, Klump, Krusha. For this reason, I grouped them in the same species. Windiez (talk) 21:12, December 13, 2022 (UTC)

@Windiez: According to the player guides, the single most common Kremling races are: Kritters, Klaptraps and Krockheads. In the DKC fake credits, only shows the Kremlings that participated in the game. ChristopherPAraujo (talk) 18:24, December 13, 2022 (UTC)

Actually they are most common Kremling races. Klump and Krusha were not belong to Kritters. Windiez (talk) 16:26, December 14, 2022 (UTC)

@Windiez: Indeed they are. Because they have the same genetics in their bodies, even Kritters are nicknamed Kremlings. ChristopherPAraujo (talk) 14:11, December 14, 2022 (UTC)

Hello Christopher, I'm just making you aware that Miraheze will be closing late this year (see announcement). Just making you aware that the wiki and all of its content is being safely backed up (along with your Portuguese wiki). Miraheze's successor, made by the the same people, is WikiTide.

I must inform though that I'm losing more a desire to run a wiki (not necessarily editing), so if I provide a back up of the websites, it's up to you to decide on what to do with them (such as asking WikiTide for help setting up a wiki from the backups I'm making). Bawitdaba (talk) 15:23, June 19, 2023 (UTC) Never mind Bawitdaba (talk) 22:53, June 19, 2023 (UTC)
