Species infobox

This is the regular species infobox. For the dedicated Kremling infobox, see {{Kremling infobox}}.

|name= By default, this is not necessary, as it will automatically use the article. In certain cases, namely if the article has an identifier, it can be manually specified.
|image= An image of the subject.
|franchise= The franchise(s) that the species is featured within (usually Donkey Kong or Mario). In crossovers, this can refer to the species's franchise of origin.
|series= The particular series of a franchise in which the species appears (e.g. Mario Kart of the Mario franchise).
|first_appearance= The first game, book, cartoon episode, comic issue, movie, etc. that the species has appeared in.
|latest_appearance= The latest game (etc.) that the species has appeared in. This does not include upcoming games: the game must have been released before the infobox can be updated.
|latest_portrayal= Who voiced (or otherwise portrayed) the species in the most recently released game (etc.).
|portrayed_by= If only one person has portrayed the species, use this instead of "latest_portrayal".
|species_origin= A real life subject that the species is based on or a member of.
|homeland= The location where the species live
|variant_of= An older or more basic entity that the subject is based on, e.g. Mechanical Zinger is a variant of Zinger.
|aliases= Any alternate forms or aliases the species has taken on.
|variants= An entity based on the subject, e.g. one of Zinger's variants is Mechanical Zinger.
|relatives= An entity with a variant-type relationship with the subject in which it's not clear who is the variant of whom, such as Buzzes and Killer bees.
|comparable= Similar entities that are not necessarily based on one another, such as Zingers and Buzzes.
|notable= Notable members of a species, like how Gnawtys would have Very Gnawty.
|collapsed= Set to "true" to collapse the "variants", "relatives", "comparable", and "notable" lists when they are long.
