Variant of | Thwomp |
An inflatable Thwomp is a purplish-blue inflatable object that is the main feature of The Great Deflate, a 2-vs-2 minigame in Mario Party 4 and Mario Party: The Top 100. It is a regular Thwomp in the form of an object, although it is possible that inflatable Thwomps are sentient, given that they make the grunting sound of a Thwomp upon falling onto the ground at the very start of the minigame.
The objective of The Great Deflate is for each team to be the first to entirely deflate their inflatable Thwomp. The higher one ground-pounds, the more it deflates upon impact. The first team to completely deflate their inflatable Thwomp wins.
There is artwork of Wario and Waluigi ground-pounding an inflatable Thwomp, which is also featured within a wallpaper.
Physical appearance[edit]
Inflatable Thwomps are an inflatable object made of semi-translucent rubber. Inflatable Thwomps are larger than the playable characters, and are wide and sturdy enough for two of them to stand on, allowing for a 2-vs-2 minigame. An inflatable Thwomp has an air valve, which is visible on the upper-left and the upper-right corner of the left and right inflatable Thwomps, respectively.
Inflatable Thwomps have bushy, black eyebrows, red eyes, and an upset face. The artwork with Wario and Waluigi shows the inflatable Thwomp with cross-eyed look on its face. In Mario Party: The Top 100, the inflatable Thwomps bear an angry look on their face resembling that of a regular Thwomp's.
